Sharing & collaboration

In Fabric, anything can be collaborative.

What can I share?

In Fabric you can share any item (note, file, link), any folder, or any space.

Inviting someone to something grants them access to anything inside it:

For example, giving someone editor-access to a folder grants them editor access to everything inside it.

What can I do with Fabric sharing?

You can:

  • Chat and point at things with cursor-chat.

  • Leave comments and annotations on content.

  • Share any content or folders.

  • Organize and arrange your content e.g. with the Kanban feature.

  • Receive notifications about changes to shared content and new comments. (Soon)

How can I share?

The Owner or Editor of a space, folder, or item can invite others via turning on link sharing and pasting the link to anyone they want to share with.

It's also possible to invite others via email address. Email invites are unique and expire if someone uses it to join the shared content.

When someone joins the shared content, they are able to participate fully (within the limits of the permission level they've been granted). You can see all joined members and modify their level of access at any time (if you have sufficient permission).
